Caroline Church of Brookhaven

 

Roots & Branches: The clergy of Caroline Church enthusiastically invite you to join them in a new program of prayer, exploration, and hospitality that we hope will deepen our relationships with God, each other, and those outside our churchyard.  This is an opportunity for Caroline Church to come together and celebrate who we are and all that we have, thus deepening our roots, while discerning how best to extend our branches and embrace the world we are called to serve.

The program will meet on alternate Wednesdays: April 28, May 12 & 26, June 9 & 23 at 7 PM. In the meantime, please pray for this process:

Eternal God, God of root and plant and garden:  We give you thanks for the variety of blossoms and vegetation that is Caroline Church, and for your nurture of all that grows here.  Help us to remember that this is your garden, and help us to tend it well.  Root us firmly in your love, and water us with your living water. Help us to see our rootedness in you, and with each other, in the light of Christ.  When and where it is needed, give us grace and courage to till, to weed, and to prune, and send your Spirit to refresh our souls. And then, O God, help us to reach out beyond our little garden patch with strong yet flexible tendrils to embrace all those who you have called us to serve.   May all we do be to your honor and glory, now and forever.  Amen.

A new photo scrapbook is under construction. Submissions of Caroline-related photos, old and new, are invited.

 

Volunteers needed to deliver Meals on Wheels daily around noon time.  Please call 689-7070 if you are able to help.

Remember to purchase your "Stop & Shop" as well as King Kullen certificates. They are as good as cash at any Stop & Shop or King Kullen supermarket, and we receive five percent.

Coram Ministries has advised us that they are in need of food, toiletries, baby diapers/formula and more. Baskets are set out in the Vestibule and in the Marco C. Smith Building. Please give regularly.
