Charles Rampone: Chuck was born in Port Jefferson, and is a lifelong resident of Setauket. He attended school in Three Village, and after high school attended Quinnipiac University, where he graduated with a B.S. degree in Business Administration. Chuck and his wife Bonnie were married at Caroline Church in 1977. They have worshipped here ever since. Their two sons, Chuck and Christopher, were Baptized and Confirmed at Caroline Church. Their son Chuck and his wife Michelle were recently married at Caroline. Chuck previously served on the Vestry at Caroline Church for 11 years, as Vestryman, Treasurer, Junior Warden, and Senior Warden. During those terms he was a member of the Finance, Investment, Christian Education, and Stewardship Committees. He is a member of the Brotherhood of St. Andrew and a participant in the ‘Exploring the Word’ Bible Study. Chuck has been employed in the transportation and retail automobile industry for over 30 years and is presently President of the Ramp Organization, located in Port Jefferson. William Harvey, Junior Warden: Bill has been a member of Caroline Church for the past 40 years. He is married to Carole and together they have raised 6 wonderful children within the Caroline Church Family. He has worked for the past 45 years in construction as an electrician and is now semi-retired. Bill also works part time as Church sexton. He has a good working knowledge of the church and is capable of handling work to be done to the church. Bill is honored to have been asked to fill the position of Junior Warden and will do his all to uphold our parish’s trust and faith in him. Committees: Buildings (Chair) |

Chris Callahan has been a member of Caroline Church since 2001. He is a graduate of Virginia Military Institute. Chris currently owns Ingenium Staffing Solutions, a supply chain executive search firm, after spending many years in various supply chain management roles. Chris and his wife Jennifer have been married for 13 years and have two children, Amelia and Christopher. Both Chris and Jennifer currently teach 6th grade Sunday School here at Caroline Church. Susan Dubowski: Sue is a Teacher’s Assistant with special children at Arrowhead Elementary School in Setauket. She has been a Nursery Team member at Nassau BOCES Teenage Parenting Program; Alumnae Office Secretary, Secretary to the Director of Development and Secretary to the Admissions Office at The Cathedral School of St. Mary in Garden City. Her hobbies include gardening, the arts and rug hooking. At Caroline Church Sue participates in Foyer Groups; helped run the craft room at the Christmas Fair, made her Cursillo weekend in 2003 and joined the Altar Guild that September. Dr. Maritza Groth was brought up in the Roman Catholic Church in her native country of Chile. She moved to Long Island when Maritza was 16. While attending New York University Medical School in NYC, Maritza was received into the Episcopal Church. Maritza became a member of Caroline Church 26 years ago when she moved back to Long Island to pursue her residency in Internal Medicine and subsequent fellowship training in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine. She is currently an internist at Mather Hospital in Port Jefferson. Maritza’s three children attended Sunday School and received First Communion and confirmation here. Daniel was an acolyte, Laurie sang in the choir and Brian was always happy to be a part of the children’s service. Over the years, Maritza has been involved with the Episcopal Church Women’s evening branch, and has participated in interfaith educational programs. She looks forward to being more involved in church activities now that her children are grown up. Committees: Fundraising & Outreach (Co-chair), Christian Ed & Youth, Adult Ed, Newcomers Ministry

J. Christopher Haring: Chris came to Caroline Church shortly after his family moved to Stony Brook when he was two. He attended Sunday School and was confirmed at Caroline. As an adult, he has been a Sunday School teacher, Usher, Webmaster, network maintainer and Vestry member. Serving as vestryperson and treasurer from 2003 to 2009 was a challenging but very rewarding experience and he was happy to be asked to run again for the Vestry in 2010. Chris received his undergraduate degree in Business Administration from Adelphi University and a law degree from St. John’s University. In addition to maintaining a small solo law practice, he has been employed for over 30 years in the Port Washington School District where he teaches Business Law, Criminal Law, and Constitutional Law. John Leibold: John and his wife Diana have been members of Caroline Church since 1966. They have three grown children, all of whom grew up, and were later married here at Caroline. Over the years, John has have been involved in many areas of our church; SERF Club, Brotherhood of St. Andrew, Y.P.F., Bible Study, a Vestryman, and a delegate to the Diocesan Convention. He is a Lay Eucharist Minister, usually serving at our 7:45 a.m. service. At present John’s main involvement is with the Interfaith Nutrition Network which reaches out to the hungry on Long Island . He helps collect food for those in need, and on Monday nights cooks for the them at Christ Church, Port Jefferson. Committees: Christian Ed & Youth (Co-chair), Fundraising & Outreach (Co-chair) |
Lorraine Massie is a life-long Episcopalian who has been worshipping with her family at Caroline Church for over twenty-seven years. Previously, she served as Caroline Church’s Church School superintendent for eleven years, and as a Kindergarten School teacher, a VBS teacher, and Women’s Fellowship Circle member. Lorraine presently participates as a Foyer Group member, Confirmation Mentor and Lay Eucharistic Minister. She currently works as a paralegal and office manager at a law firm in Smithtown. She received her B.S. degree from Stony Brook University. Lorraine lives in Port Jefferson Station with her husband Michael and dog Fudge. Their daughter, Samantha, is a lawyer in Philadelphia and their son, Craig, is a First Lieutenant in the United States Army. Lorraine was co-chair of the 2010 Stewardship Campaign and is looking forward to expanding Caroline Chursh's palnned giving campaign. Robert Nalewajk: Bob has been attending the Episcopal Church for over 30 years. Prior to his joining Caroline Church in 2002 he worshiped at Christ Episcopal Church in Bellport. Bob and Susan were married at Caroline in 2003 and between them have 5 children. Bob retired from his accounting and tax practice in 2006 after 20 years and over 30 years spent in the accounting and finance field. While attending Christ Episcopal Church Bob was a member of the following committees: Budget (chair), Audit (chair), Sunday School Superintendent, Long Term Planning, and the Search Committee. Since attending Caroline Church he has been a Lay Eucharist Minister, served on the Stewardship and Budget Committees, cooks for various Church functions and is involved with the Welcome Inn Soup Kitchen feeding the hungry in the Three Village area both as a cook and a collector and distributor of food to various agencies. Bob was also a member of the Long Island Cursillo Team that presented Cursillo to the country of Barbados this past summer. Joan Neuls and her husband, Charles, have been members of Caroline church for 38 years. Their three daughters, Diane, Patricia and Susan were confirmed and married in Caroline. Their daughter, Susan and her husband Ray Camenzuli and their children, Andrew, Cassandra and Charlie are also members of the church. Susan is the Church School Superintendent; Cassey is a Jr. Altar Guild member and church school teacher; Andrew is an acolyte. Joan worked in the church for 26 years as parish secretary and then administrative assistant working closely with Canon Paul, the Treasurer and members of the Vestry. She helped coordinate many of the various building projects, such as the steeple renovation, and the addition to the Marco C. Smith building. Joan also handled all the church’s accounting for the various funds, payroll and envelope collections, and gave monthly reports to the Treasurer and the yearly report to the Diocese. Joan is active in the church as a member of the Altar Guild, the morning branch Episcopal Church Women, and the Foyer Groups. Richard Schwab: Rich was received into the Episcopal Church in 2007 along with his son, Taylor. Although brought up as a Congregationalist, Rich has been attending the Episcopal Church for over 17 years. His wife, Sharon, is a cradle Episcopalian so he had a lot of catching up to do. The Schwabs have been members of Caroline Church for thirteen years since they moved to Setauket from Roslyn and are active members. Rich is a tenor in the senior choir and attended Cursillo, LI #55. When Taylor was younger, Rich was involved with the annual pageant, designing and painting the background scenery. Rich works as the Advertising/Marketing Director for Weiss Instruments, a manufacturer of industrial instruments, for twenty five years.
